Breaking the routine: solo Sunday brunch at a local restaurant

I woke up lazy and wanting to stay in bed as usual… but I was also hungry. I didn’t feel like making myself anything so I decided to break my usual Sunday routine of staying home and decided to enjoy a pleasant drive in the 70s degree weather. I was delighted to find out that there is an excellent breakfast/brunch place less than 6 miles away that I haven’t been to yet. Hidden inside a retirement village, Whisk Cafe is a quick new favorite! I can’t wait to bring my parents and/or friends here.

Whisk Classic Benedict + one of their specialty coffee

Today, I ordered their classic benedict – two eggs served over biscuits and ham, with a side of delicious home fries! I also requested to dine al fresco and even with the rush hour, the customer service was excellent, even for my party of one. I’ll definitely be back again, already planning my next breakfast/brunch trip actually!

What’s your favorite breakfast food? Where are some of your favorite breakfast/brunch places?
