Timothée Chalamet opens with a delightful and hopeful number, A Hatful of Dreams. He croons, I got nothing to offer but my chocolate, and a hatful of dreams. And indeed, WONKA (which I watched in December during opening weekend) is the stuff of dreams and oodles of fun! The brilliant and talented Timothée makes a delightfully eccentric young Willy Wonka.
If you haven’t seen it yet, I highly recommend!
I am waiting for the DVD/streaming version so I can rewatch and tell you even more about it!
Meanwhile, I read Roald Dahl’s Charlie & the Chocolate Factory and really enjoyed it because WONKA got me in the mood and now I am in the middle of the lesser known sequel, Charlie & the Great Glass Elevator.
W should watch this together for movie afternoon!
